Equity markets are hitting and maintaining all time historic highs, so it seems reasonable to believe that the economy is performing at exceptional levels in order to justify the record-high valuations.  However, when one becomes aware that there are at least 32 million unemployed, that many of the lost jobs will never return, and that GDP is expected to drop off a cliff, one could suddenly believe that they have been transported to the Twilight Zone.
